ZZK Label night this Friday @ Recyclart
Le label ZZK est né de la scène formée autour du Zizek, un club de Buenos Aires, en Argentine. Dès 2008, ce label amène résolument la cumbia dans le 21ème siècle en accordant la place principale aux lignes digitales de basse et de batterie tout en étant tributaire du hip-hop, du dancehall, du dub et de l’électronique lofi. Avec deux compilations, une série de maxis ainsi que des plaques en croissance exponentielle de nouveaux producteurs et dj’s, cette équipe hétéroclite a déjà participé à de grands festivals tels que Roskilde et les Transmusicales de Rennes. Born in the tropics of Ecuador, but raised in the mean streets of Brooklyn, NY, Marcelo spent a good 10 years in Boston before moving to the capital of Europe. For Gelatina, he will play for you a lovely mix of music to shake to from around the world: Mexican electro-cumbia, Argentinian ska-punk, Portuguese techno-kuduro, Puerto Rican alterna-reggaeton, Venezuelan pop. Eclectic, eccentric, and queer.
